  sometimes i think we're too hard on the wts and the dubs.

  a dub's life, after all, is not an easy one: minimal formal education, low-paying jobs, incessant demands on their time for meetings, field service, shunning, regular beatings for their children, etc.. even the wts itself is not immune.

  think of all the hard work the gb must do to keep their "new light" up-to-date without making the old light look like a pack of lies.

  i joined here because i was kicked off the last jw related board i was on.

  Welcome! Glad to have you here with us.

  I'm not here to judge anyone. My little brother was raised a JW but he realized he was gay. But because he came 'out', the family shunned him. He ended up committing suicide by jumping off of a 14 story building.

  meletivivlon.com - interesting and enlightening theory on jesus and the signs.. wars, earthquakes, food shortages.. what if jesus meant the very opposite ?

  jesus said - look out that nobody misleads you.

  ( jesus warning us as a safegaurd for us not to be mislead about exactly when the time would come ) .

  Just a side thought.

  Josephus wrote that at the time of Jerusalem's destruction there were what looked like Soldier's riding in chariots & horses coming from the clouds. And the sun & moon were darkened and could not be seen because of the rising smoke from the destroyed city.

  now i am going to do a rear thing here and i am going to stick up for the wts.

  i realise that the wts hasn't got the best of track record, and sure they have made mistakes.

  but if i was to go to another church wouldn't they still have the same issues.

  There would be no true worship of God in a building or organization. Jesus was teaching the samaritan woman that it was going to be individuals worshipping in spirit & truth. WTBT$ has done a pretty good job of exposing all the other religions of having poison in their beliefs, so when we find that poison int he WTBT$, we lose our anchor. Our security. But Jesus also said tht he came not to bring peace to the earth, but fire and divisions. It's not easy, but we have to go out to sea and rely on God & Jesus to finish our training and show us the real truth.

  hello my brothers in ttatt.

  my name es juan, im from mexico, im catholic and my wife is a jehovah witness, expelled, of course.. therefore, she still believes in the organization, and she said that they were fine with her expulsion, cause she deserve it, cause our marriage with me.

  any help, or someone with a similar experience will be good for me.

  Apocryphal Books of the Bible

  was watching a history channel program last night (yeah, i'm a history channel geek!

  ) and was introduced for the first time in my life to the apocryphal books of the bible?!?!?!?!?

  I have read quite a few of these 'Lost & Rejected texts of the bible' I found them very interesting especially Gospel of Thomas.

  Jude 14 quotes directly from the Book of Enoch. I know that the Catholic Church has been debating for awhile now to add Book of Enoch back in to their Cathoic bible. They've already added the Apocrypha's mentioned above.

  But I also know that the WTBT$ would NEVER accept the Book of Enoch as a tru inspired book because it clearly says & names more than one Archangel. Michael being the 'Chief Holy Archangel' Gabriel being another Archangel. But we know that all JW's believe that Michael IS Jesus Christ.

  But for anyone wanting to read them, here's as website that almost all of them except ENOCH. I got my Enoch books on Amazon.com for cheap

  Interesting experience last night

  i was hired to interpret for a church event in a neighboring town last night.

  i did have a brief moment of thinking demon's would be jumping out to get me as i walked through the front doors of the church, hahahaha, not really, but it did feel awkward at first and i stuck very close to the other interpreter who asked me to help her.

  i was definitely out of my comfort zone.. anyway last night i met james walker from the watchmen fellowship.
